The Ukrainian team UACatsDivision is working on a collection of cats in the NFT format. The project includes 10,000 images of the furry heroes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Cryptocats will be available for purchase starting February 22, 2023.
The collection is being created jointly with the online publication Incrypted and the UNITED24 platform. Its main mission is to highlight the heroism of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the fight for freedom. According to Dmytro Kuriksha, co-founder of UACatsDivision, NFT cats symbolize the indestructibility, defiance, and independence of the Ukrainian people.
The first national collection of NFTs is expected to attract the attention of the global crypto community and raise 40 million hryvnias. The funds raised will be used to purchase 4 marine drones, technological developments designed to protect peaceful cities and sea areas from missile attacks.
“Maritime drones can perform several combat missions at once: conduct maritime reconnaissance, monitor coastal activity, and deliver fire on targets. Together, Ukrainians are creating technological history,” said Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation.
After generating and paying the cost of creating the NFT, along with the network commission, the token will be credited to the owner’s crypto wallet.
